To qualify for admission into the MS in Public Relations program, a student must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and have a minimum of three years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have earned an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Note: A undergraduate degree in public relations is not required; applicants with degrees in related fields looking to shift careers or enhance their professional expertise are also encouraged to apply.
The School of Communications accepts applications for the fall, summer and spring semesters. Please note that the admissions committee will not review and application until it is complete with all supporting documents, which include the following:
- An application form
- Application fee
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal statement (approximately 500 words) regarding interest in, and potential for, graduate study and professional work in public relations
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work completed
