Dual-Degree BA or BS/MS in Interactive Media & Communications

The five-year bachelor's/master's degree in the interactive media and communications program is designed for outstanding Quinnipiac undergraduate students who are looking to accelerate the completion of their master's degree. Through this program, eligible QU students are able to take six interactive media and communications graduate credits during their senior year and complete their MS degree within 14 months of receiving their bachelor's degree.

Once the undergraduate degree is verified by the Registrar, accepted students will begin a fifth year plan comprised of four semesters, including two summer terms, to earn the remaining 30 graduate credits. Courses begin during the summer session following undergraduate commencement and continue with the subsequent fall, spring, and summer.

Admissions Process

Interested students must apply for admission to the program no later than the third February of their junior year and all applicants are required to have:

  • An undergraduate major with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Completed 75 credits before provisional acceptance.
  • A personal statement
  • Two letters of reference (one from a professor in the student's major)
  • Resume

Students are provisionally admitted into the ICM program before their senior year and may apply credits from their graduate ICM courses toward the completion of their undergraduate degree.
