The 15-credit certificate in social and emotional learning and school climate emphasizes the skills needed to work collaboratively toward creating a school culture that promotes safety, instructional competence, and student and teacher wellness. Courses will build upon one another, culminating in a two-part, action-research capstone project that will allow you to design, implement, and evaluate a process for improving social and emotional learning and climate within your school. Throughout your studies, you will work closely with a mentor who will support you in shaping a unique approach to enhancing your school's SEL climate.
Please note that students have the opportunity to take the Summer Academy/Orientation course either on campus or online. All other coursework will be completed entirely online.
